When I try to start libvirtd using libvirtd I get this error message:

   2014-05-06 14:12:36.148+0000: 13246: info : libvirt version: 1.2.2
   2014-05-06 14:12:36.148+0000: 13246: error : virPidFileAcquirePath:411 : Failed to acquire pid file '/var/run/libvirtd.pid': Resource temporarily unavailable

I am using openstack icehouse package in Ubuntu 12.04 server. What can fix this ?

/etc/init.d/apparmor stop

  • Clearing AppArmor profiles cache [ OK ] All profile caches have been cleared, but no profiles have been unloaded. Unloading profiles will leave already running processes permanently unconfined, which can lead to unexpected situations.

To set a process to complain mode, use the command line tool 'aa-complain'. To really tear down all profiles, run the init script with the 'teardown' option."
