Instance not taking IP form The DHCP and Gateway router external port down?
Hi there, i'm building the openstack environment using havana release. i have currently three VMs: Controller, Network (neutron) and Compute1. So far the services are up and running fine but i'm not able to get DHCP on the Instance OS. Additionally my virtual router shows on the dashboard that the port to the external network is down.
i'm using the openvswitch for layer 2 and check the openflow configuration. the result is below:
root@network:~# ovs-ofctl show br-int OFPT_FEATURES_REPLY (xid=0x2): dpid:00007e6c6654ff48 n_tables:254, n_buffers:256 capabilities: FLOW_STATS TABLE_STATS PORT_STATS QUEUE_STATS ARP_MATCH_IP actions: OUTPUT SET_VLAN_VID SET_VLAN_PCP STRIP_VLAN SET_DL_SRC SET_DL_DST SET_NW_SRC SET_NW_DST SET_NW_TOS SET_TP_SRC SET_TP_DST ENQUEUE 1(int-br-data): addr:72:9e:23:dd:c8:ba config: 0 state: 0 current: 10GB-FD COPPER speed: 10000 Mbps now, 0 Mbps max 8(qr-6c493461-f4): addr:8d:01:00:00:00:00 config: PORT_DOWN state: LINK_DOWN speed: 0 Mbps now, 0 Mbps max 9(tap149b71a8-3b): addr:8d:01:00:00:00:00 config: PORT_DOWN state: LINK_DOWN speed: 0 Mbps now, 0 Mbps max LOCAL(br-int): addr:7e:6c:66:54:ff:48 config: 0 state: 0 speed: 0 Mbps now, 0 Mbps max OFPT_GET_CONFIG_REPLY (xid=0x4): frags=normal miss_send_len=0
Any suggestion on why these ports are down and how to make them come up?
