Hi all,

I have a signed SSL certificate that is currently used for securing dashboard. I would also like to encrypt the novnc viewer in dashboard. Here are my questions:

1) Which settings in nova.conf are relevant in regards to encrypting the novnc viewer.

2) What should the owner, group and permissions be for key, certificate and CA chain file?

Thanks! Sam

  1. From the freshly created OpenStack Security Guide, "By default, the remote desktop traffic is not encrypted. Havana is expected to have VNC connections secured by Kerberos." http://openstack.booktype.pro/security-guide/compute/
