Hi I have launched a VM with 3 interfaces and I am trying to change the 2 of interface from virtio to e1000. I followed this method but no luck

https://answers.launchpad.net/nova/+question/167276 (https://answers.launchpad.net/nova/+q...)

and I even tried to change it from virt-manager but not able to boot the vm with both of these methods.

My lspci looks like this
lspci | grep -i eth
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82576 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 01)
01:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82576 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 01)
04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82575EB Gigabit Network Connection (rev 02)
04:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82575EB Gigabit Network Connection (rev 02)

Is anything I am missing ?

I would install Virt-Manager. Launched instance via `nova boot` without dashboard at all.
Open VNC session to instance via virt-manager. Switch to Lamp Icon "Virtual Hardware details"
Then NIC-> Device Model and selected desired model from dropdown menu.
Then "Apply". Virt-manager will respond "Changes will applied after reboot"
Cose virt-manager console & exit virt-manager , then run :-

 $ nova reboot instance_name

When instance will be back ACTIVE connect via ssh and verify output :-
root@ubuntutrs0424:~# lspci | grep -i eth
00:03.0 Ethernet controller: Red Hat, Inc Virtio network device
It may be different from the above.
I used to invoke virt-manager to switch to Spice&QXL ( no dashboard VNC console ).
It works in both direction ( VNC-> Spice,Spice->VNC)  via `nova reboot instance_name`
