I couldn't catch a meaning of

After you sync all nodes, make sure that the admin has keys in /etc/swift

in http://docs.openstack.org/icehouse/install-guide/install/apt/content/adding-proxy-server.html (http://docs.openstack.org/icehouse/in...)

I expect this description is not necessary. Does anyone know about "the admin key?"

I think that it means an administrator has access with SSH keys to the directory on each server. That'll enable automation when you copy all the rings to all the nodes (thousands, hundreds of thousands). The docs don't get into the automation techniques so this phrase just serves as a reminder.

Thank you. fmm. While I think it's a good idea, (1) this have no relation with Swift and (2) not stated in the document, as you mentioned. I can hardly think this is about SSH keys unless you wrote it.
