Default username/password for Ubuntu Cloud image?

I have downloaded and launched an instance of this image in OpenStack

But I don't know the password of this. Can anyone tell me?

  1. Create a key pair in dashboard,store your private key
  2. Give proper permission to private key (400)
  3. Associate key pair and launch Ubuntu cloud instance
  4. Associate floating IP
  5. From host machine; ssh -i <private.key> ubuntu@<floating ip="">

This worked for CirrOS. But did not for Ubuntu!

Try using qcow2 image from location It worked for both ubuntu, cirros & fedora cloud image with appropriate user names.

You will need to specify an ssh key when launching in order to be able to login - ubuntu cloud images do not come with a password set.
