It appears the server being hit by the functional tests is actually an Apache Tomcat server rather than Swift itself. Are you running Tomcat on the same machine as SAIO? If so stop it, start/restart Swift (to ensure it's binding to ports correctly) and rerun the functional tests.

Was Tomcat running in your SAIO VM? Did you follow the SAIO instructions as documented here, http://docs.openstack.org/developer/swift/development_saio.html)? Try running 'swift-init main status' to see if the Swift services are running.

Ya it was running in SAIO VM. I am following the same link for swift installation. I killed the tomcat server process and ran these two commands for restarting the swift services: 'sudo swift-init main restart' , 'sudo swift-init rest restart'
