Currently packstack is NOT supported on ubuntu. Is there anything equivalent to packstack that I could install on ubuntu? Thanks.

Juju can be used. Link: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Ubu...

https://juju.ubuntu.com/docs/config-o...

Or for dev vesrion: then devstack on ubuntu will be good to start.

After spending some time with juju and openstack it does not seem like there is an script that would provide an OOTB working configuration which is what I'm looking for. Devstack is an option but there is no way to restart it (you have to rerun stack.sh which resets your configuration).

running rejoin-stack.sh is the solution if using devstack.

There is no ready made solutions available. we spent days in getting Openstack on Ubuntu and just 30 minutes for devstack/ packstack on CentOS. Both manual & juju based installation on ubuntu was successful for me, but it took time. I have not given a try for puppet based installation on ubuntu.
