If I call ceilometer alarm-list I get the following table as result (shortend a bit for better readability)

$ ceilometer alarm-list
| Alarm ID                             | Name        | State | Enabled | Continuous |[...]
| [... list of alarms ...]

What does the column "Continuous" mean? For my alarms it always seems to be false. I could neither find the corresponding command line argument nor something in the documentation.

I am running devstack with icehouse and ceilometer -v returns 1.0.10.

The continuous column is the status of the repeat_action setting of the alarm.

Execute "ceilometer alarm-show -a <your-alarm-id-here>" and the full output will show repeat_actions true or false setting. The setting for repeat_action will correspond to the short listing under the continuous column.
