We're trying to get a FreeBSD 10 guest vm up and running on OpenStack.

All our other Linux guests receive a dhcp adress, but the FreeBSD guest eventually times out trying to get an address.

Anybody else here trying to run a FreeBSD guest vm?

If you run tcpdump on the dhcp server, do you see the requests from the FreeBSD host? If you run tcpdump on the FreeBSD host do you see any replies? If you sent the ip address manually do you then have functional networking?

Yes, if we set it up for a static address, it works. I will have to give tcpdump a try next time I'm there.

We have the same problem.

DanielS: You should probably open a new question.
