Hi

I would like to learn Openstack in depth but I just want to know if RDO installation method will be useful compared to Ubuntu method as I heard that RDO installation is very simple and hence I would like to know if I may miss some important concepts while installing

Appreciate your inputs

Thanks

RDO - Packstack is better when it comes to install & configure openstack. You can also learn manual installation of Openstack for better understanding. Link: http://docs.openstack.org/havana/inst... Thanks.

Try to install components separately one by one - following Ubuntu method. I have done it and have a decent setup up and running in 2-3 weeks time. I am able to launch instances using Stack templates, Networking, Cinder storage etc. Have not tried Swift in Havana. If you have spare server - you can try RDO in that server and when you run into issues in Ubuntu way - you can compare and get ideas.
