I had installed devstack all-in-one on my machine with the help of the link http://devstack.org/guides/single-machine.html following the steps:

Partition the machine and Setup Ubuntu 12.10 installation on it. Clone devstack from devstack git clone https://github .com/openstack-dev/devstack.git Deploy Openstack Cloud cd devstack && ./stack.sh

now I want to test swift functionality on it. Kindly help me in this regard.

There are instructions on how to enable Swift in devstack on this page:

http://devstack.org/localrc.html

You need to amend your devstack localrc file with the SWIFT_* variables indicated on this page, and re-run ./stack.sh.

Hope this helps.
