Hello, I checked the Block storage REST API documentation - http://docs.openstack.org/api/opensta... . I don't find API to query volume stats, is there a one or not?

Also I don't see API for volume extend/expand, are there plans to add them?

Regards, Parash

AFAIK, there isn't any Cinder API for checking the volume (usage) stats, you can use Ceilometer to get that. However, for a basic status check of volume, the Cinder show volume info API is available. The volume expand API is an extension (and is available), however, unfortunately not all extensions are documented (currently only backup API is documented). Executing the CLI 'cinder extend vol-id size' with the 'debug' flag should give you the API details!

Hi Unmesh: Thanks for your response. Sorry for the delay in reply. I got the extend API detail as suggested by you. Thanks for that.

For the volume stats - how do I get it from the Ceilometer, "statistics" command lists this information?
