I need to run the Neutron with Openvswitch plugin . I also need heat for Orchestration

If you really want to learn OpenStack I'd recommend following along with the Ubuntu guide. You will run into issues when setting it up, but that will help you learn the system and figure out how to troubleshoot it.

I'd recommend using this for most of your setup:

http://docs.openstack.org/havana/inst...

But also refer to:

http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/insta...

You probably won't setup Icehouse yet, since Havana is stable, but the documentation in Havana is different than both grizzly and icehouse. Instead of breaking it up by which host needs what, especially in networking, they kind of lump it together in havana. I personally like it in line instead of having to break out into the next page to find out what they want me to do.

12.04 is the LTS release so it's supported, you just have to install the cloud repositories, which is one of the steps.
