Hi,

I have setup a small private openstack cloud and launched an android x86 iso image. While installing the android x86, I get an error as

"FATAL ERROR: Cannot open disk drive
Press any key to exist cfdisk"

While installing android x86 in the debug mode, there is no hard drives found. But in virtualbox, in debug mode, the hard disk is listed when dmesg command is executed.

Has anyone faced similar problem???

Can u guys give any suggestions??

Do I have to provide more info??

I tried some other iso images and couldn't get them working, but I guess you've to mount the iso and create an image, enhance it with cloud-init and import it to glance (just an idea :-)). It would be helpful if you could provide the link to the iso which you're trying to import.

Hi, Can you guide how you are trying to achieve this? I am new to openstack and trying to connect android device/emulator as an instance.

This is because android can not find the storage drive.

Instructions on how to create an android image can be found here. http://thisismyeye.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/enabling-virtio-drivers-on-kernel-for.html

You can find android x86 image for openstack here. https://sourceforge.net/projects/androidx86-openstack/
