I'm running an instance but I can't ssh or ping it. When I do a euca-get-console-output I get the following,

... init: cloud-init main process (309) terminated with status 1 mountall: Event failed init: plymouth-log main process (356) terminated with status 1 * Starting AppArmor profiles Traceback (most recent call last): Traceback (most recent call last): File "\/usr\/bin\/cloud-init-cfg", line 56, in <module> main() File "\/usr\/bin\/cloud-init-cfg", line 43, in main cc = cloudinit.CloudConfig.CloudConfig(cfg_path) File "\/usr\/lib\/python2.6\/dist-packages\/cloudinit\/CloudConfig.py", line 42, in __init__ self.cfg = self.get_config_obj(cfgfile) File "\/usr\/lib\/python2.6\/dist-packages\/cloudinit\/CloudConfig.py", line 53, in get_config_obj ...repeats 8 times... [ OK ] init: cloud-config-ssh main process (355) terminated with status 1 f=file(cfgfile) IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '\/var\/lib\/cloud\/data\/cloud-config.txt' init: cloud-config-mounts main process (358) terminated with status 1 init: cloud-disable-ec2-metadata main process (359) terminated with status 1 init: cloud-apt-update-upgrade main process (362) terminated with status 1 init: cloud-config-misc main process (363) terminated with status 1 init: apport pre-start process (411) terminated with status 1 init: apport post-stop process (423) terminated with status 1 init: cloud-config-puppet main process (404) terminated with status 1

Some details.

  1. The instance I'm running is based on the Ubuntu 10.04 server image from http://uec-images.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04/release/ubuntu-10.04-server-uec-amd64.tar.gz (http://uec-images.ubuntu.com/releases...)

  2. I tried running an instance based on the Ubuntu 10.10 server image from http://uec-images.ubuntu.com/releases/10.10/release/ubuntu-10.10-server-uec-amd64.tar.gz (http://uec-images.ubuntu.com/releases...) and got the same results.

  3. I'm running nova on Ubuntu 10.10

Thanks, Everett

This problem was fixed when I switched to FlatDHCPManager. See https://answers.launchpad.net/nova/+question/145820 (https://answers.launchpad.net/nova/+q...)
