After starting ceilometer-agent-compute, I see that I am not getting the compute statistics from ceilometer. After going throught the logs, I find the following error registered:

2013-06-19 11:41:42 ERROR [ceilometer.compute.pollsters.cpu] Error from libvirt while looking up None: [Error Code 8] name in virDomainLookupByName must not be NULL

What might be the probable cause and possible fix for this?

Thanks!

Hello, I know that You send this question long time ago but I had same problem today and I found solution. I have user "ceilometer" added with role "_member_" to some tenant. Changing user role to admin solve this problem for me.

I don't have access to the setup which had caused the issue. Apologies.
