API server installation in multinode installation

asked 2011-04-27 10:50:14 -0500

Hi..!!

We are doing multi-node installation of openstack nova and swift. From documentation of Cactus NOVA, i came to know that the dashboard is installed on the node that is running nova-api and nova-compute. But in our scenario we are installing 2 compute nodes. In this case on which server i should install API on both Compute nodes or on any one of it?

I want to know above , in order to install dashboard..if your answer is on any one compute node we can install API..then I'll install dashboard on that node only..,but if your answer is on both node then do i need to install dashboard on both Compute nodes or on any one of it?

Dashboard follows nova-api server . No need on same server with nova-compute node..... I believe that there's only one nova-api server in your physical cluster. Let's install django-Dashboard on that host :)
