F16 cow images from FedoraPeople/Rackspace broken?

I'have Ubuntu and Centos VMs working, but the Fedora16 qcow images from Fedora people and rackspace are not doing so well. First off, I get no log info so I'm blind about boot. I can ping these two images and start ssh but they refuse my security key for "ec2_user". Any thoughts?

Is there a specific reason for using the Fedora 16 images rather than the Fedora 18 ones or even the Fedora 19 Beta ones? A lot has changed in the packaging of the Fedora cloud images since Fedora 16.

the updated fedora cloud images are now made available via an official page from the fedora website, I recommend you try those: http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora-options#clouds
