Trying the launch the test cirros image gives an error in the nova.log, but unclear what the issue is. It looks like is related to MySQL connectivity but the full stack trace looks truncated in the logs. There are no errors in the compute node logs and status looks good for all services:

Can we get the logs before this error as well?

Can you try with Python 2.7. I am not sure if OpenStack supports Python 2.6 which is in your case. Can someone confirm about this?

Openstack works with Python 2.6 onwards. Is this issue resolved?

Hi,

Do one thing if you are using unbuntu, try to run apt-get install update && apt-get dis-upgrade and reboot.

Regards Sateesh
