Seems My Quantum packages are 2013.1.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0_all.deb.. If i want to upgrade to 2013.1.2,

  1. download *tar.gz from this link https://launchpad.net/quantum/+milestone/2013.1.2

  2. how do i install these openstack packages ? python setup.py install ?

My actual python packages are @ /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/

It looks like you are using Ubuntu.

You should be able to use your standard package management tools (eg apt-get upgrade), in conjunction with the cloud archive (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam/CloudArchive), after a slight lag - as they do some testing prior to packaging.

Using source and packages together in one install is tricky, and best avoided :)
