OpenStack with VMware machines - is it working?

Hi,
I just found OpenStack site and I want to learn some more, but on site I see only marketing slogans and not some technical overview. So I think I will ask my question here.
I have working vSphere environment with machines on it and want to use OpenStack only for managing these machines. Is such a thing possible?
If there are any papers/articles/tutorial about this topic I will be pleased to read them. I cannot find anything like this.

You can use the vSphere to create new VMs and manage them. Existing VM already created using vCenter/ESXi host cannot be managed by Openstack.

Install Openstack Grizzly as it has support for vCenter

hi u mean if i create 3vms by vm workstation openstack cant be installed on them ???
