I am using a setup of a cloud controller with one compute node, able to run ubuntu prepackaged & custom images successfully without any issues. Able to ping & ssh the instance, get euca-get-console-output, while trying to launch custom built RHEL6 image getting following error :

The patch suggested by Vish fixed the issue - https://code.launchpad.net/~yorik-sar/nova/lp758054/+merge/59344 (https://code.launchpad.net/~yorik-sar...) /+preview-diff/+files/preview.diff.

Thanks for all the help.

Regards, Sudhir

This isn't a solution to your problem but as an alternative to euca-get-console-output you can access the console logs in the file /var/lib/nova/instances/instance-<instance id="">/console.log (on the machine where the instance is running). This might shed some light on what's causing the failure with euca-get-console-output.
