VM Loses IP Address repeatedly

Got a VM running with 10.60.60.6 Periodically (every 10 minutes or so), it just loses its IP address. It will get it back in 2 minutes or so, but all sessions get dumped and tracert to it reports no path to destination.

Is this an expiration of the DHCP lease that is then reaquired. No idea how to troubleshoot this since openstack seems to have rolled its own dhcp.

OpenStack uses dnsmasq as the DHCP server. I believe that dnsmasq logs by default to syslog, on Ubuntu that would be /var/log/syslog.

If the server load is high, this can happen. typically in single node installation when there are many instances running at the same time.
