Hi all :)

For me, it's a very important question about OpenStack. They said that we can on demand add memory to a virtual machine or add a CPU etc... When i used OpenStack, i haven't seen such option ! So why they talk about flexibility and on demand capacities ? Is there a hidden option to do this ?

Thanks a lot for all your answers :)

You can add more memory or CPU using the resize API and passing a new Flavor which has more CPU or memory

Hi Malek,

To achieve scalability in Openstack we have,

  • Availability zones
  • Host Aggregates
  • Cells

Please refer the following links for further details: Segregating Your Cloud
