Hi,

I am installing nova, dashboard, and keystone using devstack/stack.sh script on UBUNTU 11.04 version.

The installation is failing when it is trying to do nova-manage db sync command.

Below is the ouput:

  • /opt/stack/nova/bin/nova-manage db sync Traceback (most recent call last): File "/opt/stack/nova/bin/nova-manage", line 84, in <module> from nova import image File "/opt/stack/nova/nova/image/__init__.py", line 22, in <module> from nova.image import glance File "/opt/stack/nova/nova/image/glance.py", line 43, in <module> GlanceClient = utils.import_class('glance.client.Client') File "/opt/stack/nova/nova/utils.py", line 68, in import_class raise exception.ClassNotFound(class_name=class_str, exception=exc) nova.exception.ClassNotFound: Class Client could not be found: cannot import name deploy ++ failed ++ local r=1 ++ set +o xtrace stack.sh failed: full log in /opt/stack/devstack/stack.sh.5448.log
  • for ret in '"${PIPESTATUS[@]}"'
  • '[' 1 -eq 0 ']'
  • exit 1

If you do a simple ./nova-manage command also, it is showing the same error.

Request anybody to help on this and thanks in advance.

Regards, Nag.

Hi,

I have resolved the above issue by doing an upgrade to python-pastedeploy. Now I am able to proceed further. But when the glance is adding the image, it is throwing below error:

++ glance add -A nova name=ttylinux-uec-amd64-11.2_2.6.35-15_1-kernel is_public=true container_format=aki disk_format=aki + RVAL='Failed to add image. File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/sqlalchemy/engine/default.py", line 299, in do_execute cursor.execute(statement, parameters)

Here something went wrong with your MySQL connection.

If you still have this problem, can you provide us with your nova.conf and latest trackback?
