Can't include comments in nova.conf

You currently can't include comments in the nova.conf configuration file, has been that way all the releases. Is there a way to pre-parse that file so that comments could be embedded in nova.conf? Would the performance hit be acceptable? Is this a gflags limitation?

Thanks in advance - feel free to move to Answers if that's more appropriate.

The correct way to comment your nova.conf is with # signs on new lines. You can do this:

Don't use IP6

--use_ipv6=false

DHCP Bridge Stuff (from the default nova.conf)

--dhcpbridge_flagfile=/etc/nova/nova.conf --dhcpbridge=/usr/bin/nova-dhcpbridge

You cannot do this:

--use_ipv6=false #Tells nova not to use IPv6
