Trouble with settings details in Folsom release

asked 2013-03-15 22:21:14 -0500

I'm having an issue while using the stable/folsom release during the set up for Horizon. Here is the error msg:

  • sudo HTTP_PROXY= HTTPS_PROXY= NO_PROXY= python setup.py develop Traceback (most recent call last): File "setup.py", line 27, in <module> from horizon import version File "/opt/stack/horizon/horizon/__init__.py", line 29, in <module> from horizon.base import Horizon, Dashboard, Panel, PanelGroup File "/opt/stack/horizon/horizon/base.py", line 42, in <module> from horizon.decorators import require_auth, require_perms, _current_component File "/opt/stack/horizon/horizon/decorators.py", line 29, in <module> from horizon.exceptions import NotAuthorized, NotAuthenticated File "/opt/stack/horizon/horizon/exceptions.py", line 197, in <module> HORIZON_CONFIG = getattr(settings, "HORIZON_CONFIG", {}) File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/django/conf/__init__.py", line 52, in __getattr__ self._setup(name) File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/django/conf/__init__.py", line 45, in _setup % (desc, ENVIRONMENT_VARIABLE)) django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: Requested setting HORIZON_CONFIG, but settings are not configured. You must either define the environment variable DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE or call settings.configure() before accessing settings.

Has anyone seen this before? What can be done to fix this?

Thanks, Don

If so, I think this may be a bug, so please report the bug to devstack.

I am also seeing same issue. This is during first run of ./stack.sh.
