replication enhancement

Hi, I would like to know if any changes are made in replicator part to reduce the overhead since 1.8.0, and what's the major changes? I know from hardware point of view, adding more nodes and dedicated replication network may imitate the problem, but not sure if algorithm level changes have been.

There's a new feature, not intended for production yet, that you can read about called 'ssync' at http://docs.openstack.org/developer/swift/overview_replication.html (http://docs.openstack.org/developer/s...) . It is currently on master and can be enabled/experimented with. There may be others, this is just one that I know of...
