I have been playing around with keystone-manage and it looks like once you disable something, it can not be enabled with the keystone-manage tool (or even created again)

what is the recommended practice for enabling something once it has been disabled?

I am happy to file a ticket that keystone-manage should support enable if it makes sense.

This is changing dramatically with the essex release (E4 and such) as we are following the lead of nova and other components and expanding the CLI through the keystoneclient code base, and reducing what keystone-manage does.

The current (i.e. master/trunk) just prior to the Essex4 release has the enable/disable functionalality as flags.

example: keystone tenant update --id=.... --enabled=True
