How to add Swift to a devstack instance

asked 2012-11-02 14:20:24 -0500

I am coding tools to assemble and deploy images to clouds. I am using a devstack instance running latest Ubuntu as a target cloud. In order to use the euca2ools or the rackspace nova-* tools, I need a bucket argument in my upload bundle command(s). QUESTION: Is it possible to add swift to a running Openstack Cloud (devstack) so that I can 1) assign buckets to tenants/users and 2) have that bucket name work in a '--bucketurl' argument such as '--bucketurl mybucket.mycloudmanager.com' ?? Keystone, glance, and the WUI are all working.....

Knowing if my end objective is possible will help me avoid (I fear) a deep rabbithole over the next few days.

My email is jbparsons@gmail.com

Thank You,

OK...moron effect field was in full force. No matter how long you look at a problem, sometimes it just takes asking for assistance for you to figure it out by yourself. Duh, enable_service swift. :-/

Thanks anyway.
