I installed openstack components on three nodes ,like shown below:

  • server 1 : controller; Keystone, glance, nova-network
  • server 2 : compure ; KVM et nova-compute
  • server 3 : storage; cinder

I want now to have an idea about Dashboard installation, where and how do i have to install dashboard ?

For your information openstack has a distributed architecture , you can install its each components in a separate machine based on your use-case , but in your 3 node setup I would suggest you to install it on a server 1.

steps for Installation :

If you have Ubuntu machine you can follow below steps :

 apt-get install openstack-dashboard memcached
service apache2 restart; service memcached restart

If you have Rhel or CentOS :

yum -y install openstack-dashboard
service httpd restart

Its usually best to install all the common cloud components on the controller node and hence Dashboard should be installed on the controller node.
