I have installed Openstack controller + compute in single node. Now I want expand my O~S cinder component alone in another node.

Kindly let me know the prerequisite for configuring the cinder node in separate server and validation once its configured successfully.

#####

I have installed the cinder-volumes & python-mysqldb package in second node

I could able to see the cinder host listing both nodes.

I think this has changed, sorry for my original answer being a bit misleading. Grizzly introduced multiple backends, which launches one cinder-volume per backend. http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/openstack-block-storage/admin/content/multi_backend.html

In Essex, set the option

--iscsiipprefix=nnn.nnn.nnn.yyy

in the nova.conf - this makes every node registered in the cinder database.

Updated to say -- it's italicizing ip but it should be underbar ip underbar.
