Running compute on windows server R2
I have tried to run compute on a windows server R2... by using app provided by cloudbase. And i can see that node also on my nova-manage service list. but when i try to run Instance on that node.it always fail.
This is a piece of the nova log:
2013-05-09 11:30:17 INFO nova.compute.manager [-] Loading compute driver 'nova.virt.hyperv.driver.HyperVDriver'
2013-05-09 11:30:17 AUDIT nova.service [-] Starting compute node (version 2012.2.1-LOCALBRANCH:LOCALREVISION)
2013-05-09 11:30:19 INFO nova.virt.hyperv.vmops [-] getavailableresource cal
does nova-manage service list return a smilie ? Time sync on nova-controller and windows R2 machine done ? Can you post the compute logs available in Windows 2K8 R2. You would have indicated the logs folder while installing using cloudbase MSI. It is generally available at C:\OpenStack\Log
yes...that node is returning a smile .. and i have already done this time synchronization also.i am attaching the nova log here
I suggest you to edit the question when asked for more details. It makes this site a lot more useful this way.
cannot figure out the cause of error from log snippet you have posted. Check the scheduler log and compute log to figure out the cause of error. What does nova show <instanceID> return. It will have a error
