Ubuntu 12.04 LTS ships with Keystone 2012.1 ("Essex") while pki_setup was added to keystone-manage over the Grizzly development cycle.

You should enable the Ubuntu Cloud Archive if you want to run Grizzly on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

I have the same problem. I have tried: sudo apt-get install ubuntu-cloud-keyring And I have also put deb http://ubuntu-cloud.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu precise-updates/grizzly main in sourcelist.

When I use update and upgrade I get new problem:

fail to fetch http://ubuntu-cloud.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/dists/precise -updates/grizzly/main/source/sources some index files faild to donwload.

I don't now what should I do??

When I run keystone-manage pki_setup on an Ubuntu Precise DevStack install, I get:

Looking for /etc/keystone/ssl/certs/openssl.conf: [FOUND]
Looking for /etc/keystone/ssl/certs/index.txt: [FOUND]
Looking for /etc/keystone/ssl/certs/serial: [FOUND]
Looking for /etc/keystone/ssl/certs/ca.pem: [FOUND]
Looking for /etc/keystone/ssl/private/signing_key.pem: [FOUND]
Looking for /etc/keystone/ssl/certs/signing_cert.pem: [FOUND].

Possibly there's another step missing that adds those files somehow? Also check which user you are running it under, see http://docs.openstack.org/grizzly/openstack-compute/admin/content/certificates-for-pki.html for details.

Also, when I run keystone-manage on a Grizzly installation, I see these available commands:

Available commands:
                db_sync: Sync the database.
export_legacy_catalog: Export the service catalog from a legacy database.
          import_legacy: Import a legacy database.
import_nova_auth: Import a dump of nova auth data into keystone.
pki_setup: Set up Key pairs and certificates for token signing and
                         verification.

Hi, I have same problem when I install and configure Keystone manually on Ubuntu 12.04 according to OpenStack Install and Deploy Manual-Ubuntu, Grizzly. Of course, in DevStack installation, I can also find ssl dir and files. But, in manual installation, there is no ssl dir under /etc/keystone/.

In addition to above comment, in DevStack installation, "pkisetup" and "sslsetup" are included in available commands for "keystone-manage", but in manual installation, they are not included. Would you let me know what are missing when I install keystone ? Thank you.
