Hi guys.. I am trying to troubleshoot the problem with nova services so I am doing all the configurations again an I notice that when I run the keystone script I recieve this warning:

WARNING: Bypassing authentication using a token & endpoint (authentication credentials are being ignored)

Anyone knows what I am doing wrong? My openrc file:

export OS_TENANT_NAME=admin
export OS_USERNAME=admin
export OS_PASSWORD=password
export OS_AUTH_URL="http://localhost:5000/v2.0/"
export SERVICE_ENDPOINT="http://localhost:35357/v2.0"
export SERVICE_TOKEN=password

Hi:

This warning message indicates Keystone is using admin_token based authentication instead user/passwd one. You can use any of these two methods (but not both at same time):

1) admin_token based method (for admin tasks)

export OS_SERVICE_ENDPOINT = http://YOUR_KEYSTONE_SERVER:35357/v2.0
export OS_SERVICE_TOKEN = your-admin-token

2) user/passwd based method (for user authentication and authorization)

export OS_AUTH_URL = http://YOUR-KEYSTONE-SERVER:5000/v2.0
export OS_USERNAME = username
export OS_PASSWORD = user-passwd
export OS_TENANT_NAME = user-tenant
export OS_REGION_NAME = user-region

Regards, JuanFra.

You mean, change " admintoken = password " by " admintoken = http://localhost:35357/v2.0 " in keystone.conf file ? And where I change the user/passwd? I'm sorry for being so... -.-

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain it clearly. I just edited my previous answer.

You can use one of the two methods, but not both at same time. If you export all variables (both admin-token as user/passwd method), Keystone will show the warning message, ignoring user/pass based method and it will use admin_token instead.

So this is OK? If keystone used admin_token method (admin tasks right?) I don't need to go back and do it again to change that ? Thanks!
