I like to use the cinder.backup.drivers.tsm.TSMBackupDriver driver to manage backups using TSM. I configured like it was show on openstack documentation, but was unable to create a backup. I looked at the logs in /var/log/cinder and found a error about a flag with a none value. The flag was backup_share. I found that this flag has nothing to do with the TSM driver. I changed the tsm.py driver on /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/cinder/backup/drivers/ removing this verification and puting the verification for the corrects values backup_tsm_volume_prefix, backup_tsm_password and backup_tsm_compression, because this flag was for a NSF driver and not for TSM. I got rid of the first error but now i get another error about ascii conversion. I like to know if is someone out ther who was able to use this driver.
