Hi All,

I have deployed a packstack, 2 node (one controller-compute, 1 compute). Single NIC (Intel NUCs) RDO cluster. Install succeeded, created public network, private network, private_subnet, public_subnet, and router connecting with allocation pool set up. All looks fine.

When I attempt to create an instance from my image, I get the following error in the neutron log.

====== neutron log 2020-06-24 17:50:26.188 2938 ERROR neutron.plugins.ml2.managers [req-b5ce18ba-2a9a-4a05-8dee-e2f9a4c64e1e 9d764a6216114cab8cda133c7bc86dd3 1afba10264de45f38c2e752f8873eae6 - default default] Failed to bind port 3a828bb4-d312-47ba-a95d-50474b1b3ed0 on host http://osp1.int.kardoin.com for vnic_type normal using segments [{'network_id': '4f8e7f43-cf91-450c-8d02-879be40629ed', 'segmentation_id': 10, 'physical_network': None, 'id': '50b8194d-808a-4385-b3c1-ed69e0ca4236', 'network_type': u'geneve'}]

Any ideas on what the hang up is?

While my experience with OVN/Geneve is negligible, the part 'physical_network': None looks incorrect. Did you use any command line options or a non-default answer file when creating the cloud?

I would be interested in the details of the private and public networks, obtained as admin user.

Do you see relevant messages in the Nova and Neutron logs on the compute node?
