Hi. I'm learning OpenStack and attempts to install a minimal Train deployment (1 controller, 1 compute, 1 storage) on 3 physical machines, each with only one network interface. The host OS is CentOS 7.8, and I'm following the guide here: https://docs.openstack.org/openstack-ansible/ussuri/user/test/example.html (link)

The openstack-ansible was checked out with the "stable/train" branch.

Things goes well until the "openstack-ansible setup-infrastructure.yml --syntax-check" step. It goes like this:

Variable files: "-e @/etc/openstack_deploy/user_secrets.yml -e @/etc/openstack_deploy/user_variables.yml "
[WARNING]: Invalid characters were found in group names and automatically
replaced, use -vvvv to see details
[WARNING]: * Failed to parse /opt/openstack-ansible/inventory/inventory.ini with ini plugin: /opt/openstack-ansible/inventory/inventory.ini:73: Section [ceph_all:children] includes undefined group: ceph-mon
[WARNING]: Unable to parse /opt/openstack-ansible/inventory/inventory.ini as an inventory source
[WARNING]: Unable to parse /etc/openstack_deploy/inventory.ini as an inventory source
[WARNING]: Could not match supplied host pattern, ignoring: ceph-mon
[WARNING]: Could not match supplied host pattern, ignoring: ceph-osd
[WARNING]: Could not match supplied host pattern, ignoring: ceph-mds
[WARNING]: Could not match supplied host pattern, ignoring: ceph-nfs
playbook: setup-infrastructure.yml
EXIT NOTICE [Playbook execution success]

There's no /etc/openstack_deploy/inventory.ini exists.

The configuration YAML, /etc/openstack_deploy/openstack_user_config.yml looks like this: https://pastebin.com/axZT5znS

The "invalid characters" error led me to some post: https://github.com/ansible/ansible/pull/53778 (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/pu...) But I've checked the openstack.py and it seems has the bug above fixed, so I have no idea now...

The problem was solved by using a python virtualenv for kolla. I think the problem is from compatibility issues with OS-provided python package.
