Hello!

I'm trying to install OpenStack with Kolla-Anible on a set of CentOS 8 VMs. So running the playbooks goes well, and I can access Horizon, add images and launch instances with no problem. But as soon as I try using the CLI (for example, using the init-runonce playbook or even any command, like 'openstack user list'), I get the following message:

Failed to discover available identity versions when contacting http://10.5.1.253:35357/v3. Attempting to parse version from URL.
Unexpected exception for http://10.5.1.253:35357/v3/auth/tokens: Failed to parse: http://10.5.1.253:35357/v3/auth/tokens

10.5.1.253 is the internal VIP address in use, and I tried replacing it whith a hostname (without forgetting to ad it in /etc/hosts) or even a random controller node IP, but I still get the same error.

Does anyone have any lead?

Thank you!

Either the VIP is incorrect (load balancer problem? Try ping 10.5.1.253), or Keystone is down, or Keystone is not configured to listen at port 35357.

Don't worry, be happy.

Unfortunately, 10.5.1.253 is pingable, Keystone container is up and running on every controller node, and when I manually curl 10.5.1.253:35357, I get an answer with Keystone version.

Do you also get an answer from curl http://10.5.1.253:35357/v3? If so, I am baffled that the openstack command doesn't get an answer. I would try the openstack --debug option, and even trace network traffic to understand what's happening.
