Hello All!

I've trying to find solution for the following problem: how could I auto assign floating IP to the running instance on OpenStack through REST API? I have been using this

POST to v2.1/servers/{server_id}/action

ip_here

</addfloatingip>

but unfortunatelly it does not answer my question.

Many thanks for your help!

You can use the Compute API as documented at https://docs.openstack.org/api-ref/co..., but it's deprecated and may not work any more. Instead, associate the floating IP with a Neutron port: https://docs.openstack.org/api-ref/ne....

Thank you very much for quick response.

I tried to associate the floating IP with a Neutron port and I got a positive result.

I thank you for taking the time.
