I am installing the Openstack Stein version using the packstack tool. I am following the procedure provided at below link: https://www.tecmint.com/openstack-installation-guide-rhel-centos/ (https://www.tecmint.com/openstack-ins...)

I am currently at step 12: and it is failing with the following error.

Puppet::Type::Keystone_user::ProviderOpenstack: Could not find domain with name [Default].

More detailed logs are provided below:

I would not follow four year old instructions. This is an eternity for OpenStack. For example, the instructions say:

yum install -y centos-release-openstack-mitaka

Use https://www.rdoproject.org/install/pa... instead. But before you do that, reinstall the OS from scratch.

After following the above link, it gives the follwoing error:

Error: install python-keystoneclient' returned 1: Error unpacking rpm package python2-urllib3-1.24.1-3.el7.noarch

I did not write that web page, but I have used it and never had that problem. These are the official Packstack instructions. I guess you did not follow them precisely, and/or you did not reinstall the operating system.

Also, since I have no idea which step lead to this error, I am unable to help.

By the way, if yum is unable to unpack an RPM file, there must be reasons. For example, the filesystem could be full. There must be other error messages than the one you reported.

After increasing the RAM and DISK of th eVM, installation went through successfully.
