Some time ago I create OpenStack farm. Ubuntu 14.04 + Mitaka + https://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/install-guide-ubuntu/ (https://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/ins...) It works fine until last upgrade. After upgrade I saw so in nova.log on nodes: 2020-03-25 15:39:01.743 14944 WARNING nova.virt.libvirt.driver [req-be8722b3-2a69-4400-a02f-75b6d7abddc9 - - - - -] couldn't obtain the vcpu count from domain id: 01c96ead-67b1-4eb6-89da-994a2437bb8e, exception: Requested operation is not valid: cpu affinity is not supported Virtual Machines randomly time delayed before starting. Time of delay may be one minute, but sometime days. Migrating of virtual machines stay slow and sad.

Sadly is I found it too late, previous backups already absent.

Have you searched the internet for the error message? I get this, for example: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug..... There are many others.

The bug description talks about rebooting. I would also check the virt_type on the slow nodes. It might be qemu instead of kvm.

Thank you for fast response!

Each node has in file /etc/nova/nova.conf

[libvirt] virt_type=kvm

But if I need reboot, I do it.

Rebooting helps on two hours. I started migrating to it from other node. But after half node migrating it continue send me such warnings and stops migrating: 2020-03-30 11:48:02.978 14635 WARNING nova.virt.libvirt.driver [req-e4d89c20-8c27-4850-86d0-f54bf61682c9 - - - - -] couldn't obtain the vcpu count from domain id: f0a3820e-bc68-447a-9793-0bd4f503200e, exception: Requested operation is not valid: cpu affinity is not supported

No, I can't reboot each server many times. Because no way to migrate. Help me find previous libvirt+qemu+nova, on the site http://ubuntu-cloud.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu (http://ubuntu-cloud.archive.canonical...) THEY ARE BROKEN!!!
