Can you create hosts that do not require an SNAT?

In Havana can you create a network where you trunk in existing vlan(s) from a switch and place the hosts on the same vlan and ip space as existing servers? I am trying to determine if it is possible, and if it is possible, is it a bad idea to do so.

The idea would be on my internal network I can create an automate the creation of the servers and services, but the server can sit in the same subnet as other hosts and systems without having to traverse NAT, etc...
