Hi Guys

We have an OpenStack Stein environment with Netapp configured as the storage backend for Nova, Glance and Cinder using NFS v4.1. We upgrade our Netapp appliances multiple times a year, when performing the upgrade we failover the IP to a different Netapp storage node. This results in every virtual machine losing R/W access to its boot disk, a reboot of the VMs is required to escape this state.

We would like the VMs to regain R/W access to their boot disks after the migration of the IP on Netapp storage node without a reboot. Can anyone advise?

Many Thanks

Did you ever find a solution for this? We are seeing a similar issue during ONTAP upgrades.
