CEPH - Use existing cluster

Hi all, I am now trying to deploy OpenStack Ansible and have a running production CEPH cluster already. I have procured corresponding ceph.conf and client keyrings and created the pools.

I tried to provide the ceph_config_file variable and ceph_keyring_dir in user_variables.yml, however os-glance still tries to connect to the MONs to retreive the conf and the keyring.

How do I provide the credentials to my OSA setup? I do not want the OSA to deploy CEPH nor do I want it to connect to the production CEPH MONs.

EDIT: I am on OSA stable/train. The ceph_client commits which allow getting ceph.conf from files are newer than that, trying with ceph_client on master.

Thanks a lot.

Although I can't say anything about ansible I know ceph. Usually you would need your clients (glance, cinder, nova) to have a (minimal) ceph.conf where the MON addresses are listed and a keyring. And for every request a client makes (create image, clone image etc.) it first contacts the MON.

Could you please clarify if you need a way to configure OSA to provide ceph related configs? Or is this about clients accessing ceph in general?
