Instance creation failing everytime

Error: Failed to perform requested operation on instance "bb", the instance has an error status: Please try again later [Error: Build of instance dedb1b3f-3897-4c21-b5e8-2e045084a3fc aborted: Volume f2781575-109c-4178-a6d7-0a45afe741fd did not finish being created even after we waited 22 seconds or 7 attempts. And its status is error.].

How to debug this?

It takes too long to create the volume. Check the Cinder logs why that might be the case. Use the volume ID in the above error to find relevant messages (there might be relevant messages that don't include the volume ID, but they should be close to messages with the ID).

As a workaround, you can also create instances without volumes. In the source tab of the GUI's launch dialog, you will find a switch for that.

Wherever it's configured in your cloud. Often /var/log/cinder, but Devstack uses the systemd journal for logs, other distros have their own log file locations.

I am not able to identify the cause from the logs.As a beginner. I added the logs here, could you please look once and suggest. (

I don't see the volume ID fe781cb2 in the cinder logs. Are you sure that these log messages are from the same time as the instance creation error?

The second error in the text the error I got.the first one I deleted the log.
