Hi

I have setup of Openstack Queens like follows : 2 controller nodes(database, neutron, all services) 1 database (gallera) 2 haproxy 20 compute 3 ceph mon 10 ceph osd

All my vm routers are on controller2, it takes too much time to transfer routers when shutdown. And most of them did not come up after reboot. I have to plan shutdown activity for maintenance, how should I plan for it. Also please help me with which things I need to backup and how.

Thanks for help in advance.

Shutdown all instances Stop nova services. Stop Ceph OSD services and Ceph Mon Disable all Controller services Shutdown controller/Compute /OSD Mon

For Can do recover start ceph start controller start controller service start compute start instance

You can take mysql dump for all database for safer side.
