I am running RDO havana (allinone). The Packstack was run with neutron 'local' option .

I can access the dashboard from the local browser at the single node (via: localhost/dashboard)

But not from a remote machine browser (vai: http://<dashboard ip="">/dashboard). It timesout

Note that : /etc/openstack-dashboard/local_settings has : ALLOWED_HOSTS = '*'

and I restarted the httpd by : /bin/systemctl restart httpd.service

Any idea what I am missing ?

Does your firewall allow access to port 80 from the outside world?

iptables is empty ( no constraints) and at Openstack : fwaas_driver.ini is disabled and no reference to vArmour firewall in /etc/neutron/l3_agent.ini . Also: (pache config) /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf has : Listen 0.0.0.0:80 Is that enough for remote access to the host web server

Sounds to me like it should... Is firewalld running too? Might want to check there as well for port 80 if so

You could be seeing this issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=981583 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug....) .

You can work around it this way:

[root@host]# yum -y install iptables-services
[root@host]# service firewalld stop
[root@host]# service iptables start
[root@host]# chkconfig firewalld off
[root@host]# chkconfig iptables on
