kolla-ansible horizon problems

I was having trouble with horizon in a successful deployment of openstack via kolla-ansible. I can't seem to use horizon to create a new nova instance. The "Create Instance" button does not do anything and the link shows up as javascript:void(). My feeling is that it may have something to do with rabbitMQ, but I am not certain. My only reasoning with rabbitMQ being the blame is during the install I had to manually enter an ip address for rabbitMQ in the env vars for the deployment, since it failed to get the api_interface variable from elsewhere in the ansible variables.

So I guess, what I'd like to know is what the api_interface should be (the same as the internal or external ip addresses, etc.). Otherwise, if anyone has insight into what's going on with horizon, that'd be appreciated.

Horizon doesn't use RabbitMQ. The problem is most likely elsewhere. I would check installation logs for relevant errors and also have a look at the local_settings.py file(s).

To give an update on this, I figured there was some sort of problem with the way openstack was installed. I ended up reducing the number of components I enabled in the globals.yml until I had just what I needed or I found the culprit.

Also, I know the javascript thing was simply the way the page works.
